Simon is seen here putting together cuttings we have taken from our best vines, which are going to Riversun to be grafted. They will then come back to us to be planted in a new vineyard at Redbank. Exciting stuff. Well... for us anyway.
Sweet smell of success drifts about vineyards
Yes folks, our Simon this year won the coveted Young Viticulturist of the Year in Central Otago, a prestigious award that is won after a grueling weekend of written, practical and other onerous tests. So we salute Simon, sit back with quiet pride, and thank the Prop for passing on all he knew (this took thirty seconds). Simon goes on to the Nationals later in the month.
In further news Young Tom has won one of only two places from Otago to do the annual vintage in Burgundy. This makes three years in a row when Two Paddocks has sent a rep to Burgundy, and we think this is both prestigious and very useful.
