Where to Take Your Picnic
On occasion we have been known to briefly slip away from the winery for the day, remembering that great wine is often left to its own devices.
Then we take off for the High Country, put a rod or two in the backpack, flies, sunblock, some sandwiches and naturally a bottle of Picnic Pinot Noir.
And once in a while, you get a day which will be the stuff of legend.
On this occasion, we went with Fishing Great and Wise Old Man of the Mountains, Two Paddocks mate Dean Whaanga.
The Proprietor is on to a 3 or 4 lb. rainbow trout.
For the record, 14 landed, lost 12. All released. But who can be bothered with records?
Lift a glass...to life!
