Summer on the way and as usual at this time of year we field test our famous products. A party of 14, including Proprietor and daughter carried 1 x bottle Picnic Riesling up the Routeburn valley, chilled, in the bottle in the Routeburn River, (see photo for correct chilling method) and drank same. Universal acclaim.
Note: How to judge if creek is cold enough for your wine - throw a child or two into pool and if the response is a bloodcurdling scream, you can be assured the water is sufficiently cool.
