New MAXiMOViE and newly released Proprietor's Reserve First Paddock wine!

Yes folks, today we launch another MAJOR Two Paddocks MAXiMOViE, entitled The Kindest Cut of All. So informative, you’ll feel you have a degree on Oenology afterwards! Click here for the movie.

This is to coincide with the release of our very rare, very beautiful Proprietor’s Reserve 2011 First Paddock Pinot Noir. This is an extremely desirable and collectable single vineyard, and rare indeed – only 780 bottles in all produced. Each bottle is numbered.

Click here for full tasting notes, but in short, here are Dean’s comments, "This wine was 100% sourced from the first twenty-five rows of Clone 5, which was planted in Gibbston at The First Paddock vineyard in 1993. Hand-harvested and sorted then a 50% whole bunch indigenous ferment in a dedicated First Paddock French oak cuve. Matured in 30% new French oak with the balance in older wood for 11 months. Earth, blackberry, spice and dark smoke aromatics, followed by a mineral driven flow. This wine has a tight and ethereal textured palate, shows good density with an elegant finish."

This is one to put down for a few years – it is elegant, restrained perfumed with long minerally spice. This will be very hard to find, but then there is always our online shop.
