Pigs in Paradise

On Tuesday the Saddleback Pig family took another delivery of two bins of cherries (seconds) and immediately set to a full scale cherry chow-down.

Recent rain has rendered heaps of our cherries unfit for sale, but the porcine members of the cru could not be more delighted.

Interestingly, since Mike, who they regard as a general pig servant, brings them a couple of bins every few days, the now blasé piglets have learnt to spit out the stones. Fairly obvious thing to do when they a munching on a bin or two of apricots, but spitting cherry stones requires some finesse.

Clever piggy!
