2007 Picnic Riesling

The label shows the proprietor's grandparents picnicking with friends at Wanaka circa 1920. Happy days.

Our small Riesling crop from Redbank was supplemented with fruit sourced from a premium Marlborough source.

Bruised apple, mineral and lime aromatics on the nose lead to a  well balanced mid palate with a soft off dry finish.

Although approachable in it’s youth, this wine has the potential to develop with bottle age, and start to show its strengths in about a year's time.    8-10g/l residual sugar
